Kinkakuji

The glistening building is a national treasure and is well worth seeing, captivating people at first sight.
The official name is Rokuzenji (Rokuokanji), which was built by Ashikaga Yoshimitsu who built during the height of the Muromachi period. The most influential people of the time were invited here as it became a symbol of Kitayama culture.
It is a must see! Also, Ikeizumi garden is centered by the Mirako pond, representing paradise.
